NATIONAL EXECUTIVE BOARD RETREAT AND ELECTION
January 19-20, 2013
Tagaytay City

The National Executive Board of the Holy Name Society of the Philippines convened for the Retreat and Election of the new set of officers on January 19 - 20, 2013 at the Dominican House Prayer in Tagaytay City. National Director and Promoter Rev. Fr. Edgardo Alaurin, OP. spearheaded and organized the activity with Rev. Fr. Efren Rivera, OP as Guest Speaker. The biennial activity was attended by the heads of the different Unions who are also the voters for the election of the National President. The newly elected officers of Society who will assume their respective offices for the next two years (2012-2014) are as follows.

President : Bro. Laureano "Jun" Culala
Vice President : Bro. Rex Villanueva
Executive Secretary : Apolinario Carandang
Treasurer : Bro. Hector Libunao
Auditor : Bro. Peter Clorina

Bro. Jun Culala succeeds Bro. Felix "Nonong" Tubillio who was commended by the Executive Board for his able leadership and service as President of the Society.

During the meeting, the issue on Proxies for the election of officers of the Executive Board was resolved. It was put on record that:

  • Before the election of the officers of the Executive Board, the notice of election will be sent through a letter by the National Director and Promoter convoking the voters through the Secretariat, at least one month prior to the election.
  • The incumbent Presidents of the National Unions are the rightful voters for the election of the President of the Executive Board, which means that they should be physically present.
  • Proxies are not be allowed for the succeeding national elections beginning 2014.
  • Proxies are allowed only for the monthly meetings of the National Executive Board with a written note from the Union President in case he will be absent.

THE EXECUTIVE BOARD DECIDED TO CHANGE THE VENUE OF THE NATIONAL CONVENTION FROM BAGUIO CITY TO TAGAYTAY CITY ON MAY 3-5, 2013. Please be guided accordingly.
